New key visuals and illustrative elements, including templates, were to be developed to promote civic engagement in the city of Leipzig. The design was to be based on the citizen participation initiative ‘Leipzig weiter denken’ (Think ahead for Leipzig). To make the work easier for the city and all partners involved, recurring formats were created as universal template files.
We developed a slightly modified illustration style for the subject area, including a new colour concept and the introduction of an expanded icon language. All of this comes together in key visuals that represent different event formats. We also developed comprehensive template files for various formats and applications. All guidelines, elements and template designs were recorded in a style guide for the city. This allows employees and external parties to create their own material at any time.
