We have been working with our technology partner Content & Code GmbH for the Lindenau-Museum Altenburg since the end of last year. The aim is to digitise the museum's artworks and make them easily accessible to a wide audience. In addition to an illustrative listing of the works in the form of online collections, users are to discover work contexts and associated stories in a playful and interactive way through so-called Digitellos.
The main focus is on efficiently connecting the new digital system to the existing plant databases. At the same time, the focus is on easy use and maintenance of the system by the company's employees. This means that the digital offering can always be kept up to date by employees. The quick presentation of the works is uncomplicated and arouses curiosity about the art and the exhibitions.
In the first half of 2024, we designed the online presentation for the Lindenau Museum Altenburg. This works as a narrative, digital presentation format in which visitors are guided through the museum's collection in a playful and interactive way. At the joint exhibition of the Lindenau-Museum Altenburg and the Augustinermuseum in Freiburg, we were able to finalise the online presentation for ‘bellissimo’ and show it for the first time. The format functions as a modular system. The museum staff can easily create new online presentations by inserting additional design elements and thus directly add new works to the website. The flexibility of use of the system is very important here, so that each exhibition can be presented individually. The online presentations on bellissimo digital and on the works of Walter Jacob are a good example of how different and versatile the system can be used.
