Leipzig Becomes a Climate Protection Municipality

Leipzig has been par­ticipa­ting in the in­ter­natio­nal certi­fic­ation system "Euro­pean Energy Award" (EEA) since 2009. The annual imple­menta­tion report in a handy brochure format provides infor­mation on the progress of this complex municipal climate protec­tion project. It is a central element of citizen communi­cation and is therefore designed to be inviting, clear and under­stand­able: Instead of compli­cated technical terms and long texts, we opted for play­ful, bright covers, clear struc­ture, airy layout, short texts without numbers, info­graphics and illustra­tions.

Complicated and complex content requires an even more structured, clear layout. In our editorial design, we therefore work a lot with table contents and infographics.

To support clarity, we work with color coding of different topics in our editorial design. This allows citizens to quickly find the information that is relevant to them.
