When designing the educational exhibits, we focus above all on the interactivity of the elements and are developing both physical flaps and stations featuring audio elements and digital displays. In addition, we are creating an oversized jigsaw puzzle and installing an exhibit inside the large elephant transport box. Because the exhibits are primarily located outdoors, we are using robust, powder-coated metal structures for the materials.
With the nine-piece prism puzzle, visitors can rotate the pieces back and forth between two species of elephant and information about their differences. A life-size elephant silhouette is attached to the outside of the transport box, explaining the anatomy of elephants. We have also incorporated a real molar into a viewing window, which is illuminated at the touch of a button. In addition, there is a bronze elephant footprint where visitors can compare the size of their own feet with those of elephants. We have slightly adapted the existing graphic design and added an additional colour to the visitor path.
