On behalf of the Heinz Sielmann Stiftung, we are developing a cohesive corporate design for the conservation project ‘Mittelelbe – Schwarze Elster’, based on the foundation’s visual identity, including a logo, style guide and custom icons reflecting the project’s themes.
The Mittelelbe – Schwarze Elster Nature Conservation Project exemplarily fulfils the nature conservation objectives of the Elbe Concept and promotes biodiversity. The project area stretches along the Elbe and the Schwarze Elster as far as their confluence with the Elbe and forms part of the Mittelelbe Biosphere Reserve. We were commissioned to design a logo and branding for the project to ensure consistent communication. The design was to clearly reflect a connection to the Heinz Sielmann Stiftung, which supports the project.
Drawing inspiration from the Heinz Sielmann Stiftung logo, we are developing a corporate identity. To this end, we are taking our starting point from the logo’s distinctive square and repeatedly incorporating its angular shape: in stylised ‘focus corners’, an angular design language and a dynamic diagonal arrangement of elements. In addition, we are designing our own style guide as well as several icons that represent the various themes of the project. These include, for example, grazing, the reconnection of oxbow lakes and flood channels, and species conservation measures.
