The integrated urban development concept Leipzig 2030 (INSEK) is the binding future strategy for the city's next 10 to 15 years. The strategy paper, which is several hundred pages long, is the result of cooperation between municipal decision-makers and a pronounced citizen participation process. So that the public can also get a picture, the task was to break up the original text and illustrate it in a multi-part print product.

Citizen Communication

Our editorial design started by breaking down the technical strategy paper and "translating" it into citizen-friendly terms. The whole brochure "Target image and urban development strategy" is available here (PDF).
Valuable Print Product

In addition to PDFs of all individual products, the entire product was also produced in a valuable print edition in a slipcase for display in municipal institutions and multipliers.

What previously threatened to be lost in long continuous texts is now clearly and vividly presented as infographics. That, too, is part of editorial design.
