Elena Bangel is a trained carpenter and, after completing her apprenticeship, earned a master’s degree in industrial design so she could pursue her interest in design. She has been part of our team in the field of scenography and exhibition design since 2025. With her practical know-how from the carpentry trade and her passion for all kinds of materials—whether wood, ceramics, plaster, or metal—she shows us new ways to bring our ideas to life.

Why did you become a designer?
After completing my training, I was looking for a degree programme that would build on my skills and give me even more insight into design. I had a choice between wood technology, interior design and industrial design. I decided on industrial design and quickly realised that the wealth of design possibilities gave me a lot of joy.

Why do you work at ungestalt?
I think the range of projects is incredibly diverse (leisure, education, culture, etc.) and the different implementations, especially the learning stations, immediately caught my attention.

Successful projects

We are busy and working on it.
