Bringing the Gera city forest closer to more visitors with interactive offers. To achieve this goal, we supported Natura2000 with our knowledge of branding and UX design and created a consistent look for the experience trail – online and offline.

Contemporary learning

Task and approach

The newly designed forest adventure trail will enhance Gera's city forest: children and school classes can learn information in a playful way at various stations. A learning app was chosen as the sustainable and non-destructive basis for the trail, which is supplemented by analog signs. The tangible story of the app can be played or evaluated in the forest, at home or in the classroom. We developed a functional design and illustrations that are used repeatedly.

Challenges and solutions

The most important aspect is probably the target group-oriented approach and presentation. In addition to modern, friendly colors, the look is kept simple and easy to understand. Illustrated animals and an avatar that guides you through the forest lighten up the overall picture. Easy-to-understand sentences, changing sensory impressions and a regular sense of achievement ensure that all users can follow along.
In addition to the app, a website provides all the necessary information for parents and provides further information in a small wiki.
